This glossary shall serve as a first step, highlighting the various issues a sustainable development agenda should address, as well as some concepts and ideas that have been put forward by different actors as solutions for some of the challenges facing the world community. It also shall serve to emphasize the gender relations underlying all different fields of action. It is however beyond the scope of this document to provide an exhaustive list of keywords and definitions.

This report is a review led by the Global Gender Office of the International Union for Conservation of Nature – IUCN, conducted on instruction of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF).

The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) are designed to support low-carbon and climate-resilient development in developing countries through scaled-up financing channeled through the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), so the review was carried out under the supervision of the CIF and in collaboration with MDBs gender focal points keeping in mind two objectives:

1. Develop concrete recommendations and identify practical tools to help pilot countries and project teams integrate gender into their work moving forward; and
2. Identify where further progress is needed, including whether capacity should be built in the Administrative Unit and pilot countries on gender.

Memoria del Taller Centroamericano sobre Género y Energía. Este documento refleja los resultados y aprendizajes de un taller enfocado en:

·         Ampliar conocimientos sobre energía

·         Aprender y/o ampliar conocimientos sobre género

·         Entender mejor los roles no tradicionales que las mujeres pueden tener en proyectos energéticos

·         Compartir y conocer acerca de otras experiencias en el campo

·         Explorar nuevas posibilidades, como acercamiento con el sector empresarial

Informacíón acerca del Proyecto "Género y Energía de UICN": Las mujeres como líderes y agentes
de cambio en el sector de la energía.

El documento presenta al Proyecto hidroeléctrico Los Laureles, de GENERA en Honduras, el cual presentó el proceso de socialización, diagnóstico y proyección humana, así como el proceso de capacitación de los extensionistas y demás equipo humano involucrados en  este proyecto.
